H is for Hallelujah.

Yes. Say it loud. There are 2 things to be thankful for today. So let's raise our glasses and make a toast. First- my tape deck on my pc has been out of commission for a while- possibly since I moved to the new crib. Recently a hardware connect error message kept popping up. I had no clue what was going on. When computers work well, they're your best friend and life is good, but when the slightest problem occurs all hell breaks loose and things get fucked the fuck up. My dependency issues really have to get sorted out because I can't deal anymore. Anyway- a cord was missing that was needed. Found it, attached it, and everything's cooked in curry. On top of that I found a milk crate in my closet with tons of old tapes- Stretch and Bob's, Martin Moore's, mixtapes, and various other shit. Treats will be shared in the near future.

#2. Let's turn our attention to the lovely camo H fitted above. A seminal piece for any collector of H headwear. Several benedictions were bestowed upon me here. First, $25 for the fitted is good money, literally and figuratively. However, the cap is a 7 1/2, but I wear a 7 5/8. So why did I cop? Because the hat stretching machine at the New Era store on 4th Street between Broadway and Lafayette is one of the modern era's greatest inventions. The 7 1/2 turned to a 7 5/8 without a hitch for a mere $5. Think of all the fitteds you have that no longer fit due to a little sweat or lack of wear. This shit is a fountain of youth. The machine can safely increase a hat by 2 sizes. This really is some great news. No bullshit. I used it before for a hat purchases in-house, but forgot about its mystical powers until this past weekend. At this time I'd like to give a big shout to Nai and Strictly Fitteds for 2 years of killing it in the game. Nobody else hits you with relevant news like they do. Keep that shit up.

Added this one to the h-eap too. Not feeling it at all. Navy on black is too dark and the logo is wack. Fuck it, it'll be my Tuesday night laundry joint. The $25 price tag blinded me. These caps are usually $50 so I got over-gitty.

As mentioned, my tape deck is up and running and I had the bug last night. Converted mad shit. Also found a tape that I've been looking for for years. DJ K-Black from the Bronx back in 1994. My man Berto hit me with it and the shit left an indelible mark. All the treats from that year(Wu, Jeru, King Just, Crooklyn Dodgers, Lords of the Underground, Smif N Wessun, Snoop, and Memory Lane is on this shit) with some buttah blends on the beginning of side B. The dope shit- when DJs really worked to put out a tape. That Sweet Sable over NY State of Mind is bananas, even if for only 15 seconds. Scratches, blends, beat matching, just being creative. Enjoy.
